Samira Saidi joins The Royal Ballet School in new post

Renowned ballet educator and manager Samira Saidi will join the School on Thursday this week as Head of Intensive Courses and International Relations.

In this newly-created role, Samira will lead on developing our intensive courses and will form an integral part of our continued drive to search for and recruit the world’s most gifted young ballet dancers. This will include steering our new Spring Programme in London and Hong Kong, and the newly-expanded four-week Summer Programme in London.

Christopher Powney, Artistic Director of The Royal Ballet School, said: ‘We are so pleased to welcome Samira to the School. As a former dancer and educator with experience working around the world, Samira is perfectly placed to lead on developing strategy to ensure we continue to foster excellence in our growing international programmes.’

Samira Saidi said: ‘I am delighted to be joining The Royal Ballet School as its Head of Intensive Courses and International Relations. The School continues to deliver the highest of standards, maintaining world-wide recognition for its achievements and I greatly look forward to working with Christopher Powney and his team.’
