The Royal Ballet School launches Enlighten teacher training webinars

Due to the popularity of our teacher training webinars during lockdown, The Royal Ballet School is continuing the series of webinars for dance teachers under the title Enlighten. Enlighten provides invaluable insight and information surrounding all aspects of dance teaching and learning, taught by expert staff. The webinars draw on the School’s heritage and knowledge as a world leader in dance training and education.

These one-hour webinars cover a variety of informative topics ranging from the technical and artistic aspects of dance training and pedagogy through to business modelling and management, ideal for developing teachers’ CPD portfolios, and are an excellent supplement to our Inspire series of seminars.

Mark Annear, Head of Training and Access said: ‘It was so exciting to see how well our first series of webinars were received over the summer, with each session sold out in a matter of days. The participants truly valued the experience. We are thrilled to now be regularly delivering Enlighten webinars as part of our teacher training programme and look forward to connecting with dance teachers from around the world.’

Karen Berry, Teacher Training Manager said: ‘Our new series of Enlighten webinars allows teachers to maintain their professional development during these uncertain times. Remote teaching allows The Royal Ballet School to reach out to teachers worldwide and share our expertise and passion for our art form. It’s essential for us, as teachers, to maintain contact with each other, and the webinars provide the ideal opportunity to share ideas, discuss concerns and make new connections.’
