Diploma of Dance Teaching graduation 2020

The Diploma of Dance Teaching 2018-2020 graduation was held virtually on Saturday 24 October.

Streamed from Upper School in Covent Garden, Mark Annear, Head of Training & Access, and Karen Berry, Teacher Training Manager, were joined by guest speakers Linda Jasper and Peter Lovatt.

Christopher Powney ‘presented’ the 2018-2020 graduates with their certificates, Paul Farrell gave an insightful student speech about the journey they took together and Christopher Rodrigues CBE, the School’s Chairman, gave a specially pre-recorded closing speech.

Despite the very different style of graduation to which we are used to, Pippa Cobbing, former DDT tutor and Primary Steps manager, summed it up perfectly:

‘Even though we were not in the same space together it felt like a shared experience and I appreciated, and was moved by, all of the speeches. A very special cohort indeed, it will be fascinating to follow their careers.’
