Audition Insight classes

Our non-selective Audition Insight classes are an opportunity for dancers who have applied or are considering applying for a place on our training programmes to learn more about the audition and the School.

At an Insight class, dancers can experience what it’s like to take part in a Royal Ballet School audition and find out what the School is looking for from auditionees in a relaxed, informal environment. There is also an opportunity to ask questions so dancers can feel fully prepared and confident for their audition.

Students aged 11-18 on 31 August 2024

Requirements

Places are offered on a first come-first-served basis.

Class structure

Duration: 1.5 hours

Students will participate in an age-appropriate version of an audition class. The teacher will give information about what to expect at the audition and what the panel will be looking for. There will be a Q&A at the end of every session to answer audition and School-related questions.

Classes are broken down into age groups of students who will be applying as aged 11, aged 12-13, aged 14-15, and aged 16+.  Students should undertake the class for the age group they will be on 31 August 2024.
