Summer Intensives

Our 2021 five-week Summer Intensive course is residential and for UK and international dance students.

Each year the Summer Intensives run in two sought-after locations, historic White Lodge in Richmond Park (10 to 15-year-olds as of 31 August) and Covent Garden in central London (16 to 18-year-olds as of 31 August). The minimum age to attend any of our intensive courses is 10 years old. Applicants must be 10 years old by the first day of their chosen course.

Our Summer Intensives are also open to dance teachers, who can sign up to our popular Dance Teacher Observation programme.

The Royal Ballet School’s Summer Intensives are a unique opportunity for young dancers to experience the highest levels of coaching from the School’s full-time staff and renowned international teachers. They also enable students to experience intensive dance training over an extended period of time, enabling them to determine their suitability for full-time vocational training.

We are also delivering a one-week Online Summer Intensive course.

In 2021, we are also offering an Online Summer Intensive from 13-17 July 2021, streaming virtual classes live from our beautiful White Lodge studios. The non-selective programme will include classes in classical technique, focus, contemporary, Pilates and more, plus Q&A’s and healthcare talks. Classes are open to students aged 10 and upwards.
