Seia Oishi

Seia began ballet at the age of eight and joined the Acri-Horimoto Ballet Academy at 11. His achievements include winning first place at the International Ballet Competition Japan Grand Prix for three consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024) and first place at the Ballet Japan Cup in 2023. He also earned second place in Classical and third in Contemporary at the Youth America Grand Prix Japan Semi-Final in 2023 and first place in both the NBA Ballet Competition and the Contemporary category of the All Japan Union in 2024.
Seia has received Full Year scholarships at The City Ballet School of San Francisco and The HARID Conservatory, as well as short-term scholarships to several renowned institutions, including The Royal Ballet School, School of The Hamburg Ballet, State Ballet School of Berlin, Dutch National Ballet Academy, Zurich Dance Academy, Canada’s National Ballet School, and John Cranko School of the Stuttgart Ballet.
On being named a Royal Ballet School International Scholar, Seia said:
‘I feel very honoured to have received an international scholarship from The Royal Ballet School. I am filled with gratitude for this wonderful opportunity. Being able to receive guidance from such fantastic teachers is truly a dream come true for me. I will work hard to grow every day in the programme.’
